This is our memorial for our precious baby daughter Mia Daisy McKechnie who was born asleep in
Mummys tummy on 9th June 2008 at 26 weeks. Born at The Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley.
Delivered by Caroline Judge who was so kind and caring, all staff on labour ward were fantastic and
helped make a tragic event a little more bearable , for that i will be eternally grateful.Special
thanks and love also to Carol Beatts, Deb McFarlane,Susan Hutchison and Irene McClure all the lovely
midwives who supported Mummy throughout the weekend you were born and afterwards too.
Much loved daughter of Simone and Colin McKechnie.

Taken from us due to Mummy catching and transmiting the parvo virus, i caught this infection from
our son contracting 'slapped cheek' which unless you have an immunity to this virus it can cause
stillbirth,something we were never told until it was too late.The virus attacks red blood cells in
the unborn child and causes anemia which then caused my precious Mia's heart to fail. No-one told us
how dangerous this virus can be to pregnant women,please all be aware of this so it doesn't happen
to you or anyone you know.Doctors say the risk is very low,approx 5% but i now know of 5 other
babies who have died from this virus in the last 6 months alone.
Mia was a much loved and wanted 3rd child for us and we miss her everyday. The pain is so bad some
days.Mia was buried on 13th June 2008 in a beautiful baby garden.She is with all the other babies
in their own special place,it truly is beautiful.Mia now lies with her wee friend Aimee x
Sleep tight princess and watch over us all from heaven where i know you are safe and loved by the
angels.

I just want to say how grateful and overwhelmed our family have been over the last 2 days as we have
coped with Mia's 1st anniversary of her death and her 1st birthday x Everyone who has lit a
candle,added a tribute and sent me personal messages thankyou from the bottom of my heart. It is
lovely to know that other people are thinking of my little princess xxx

Mummy hasn't written to you for a while and for that im so sorry but please know that i think of you every minute of everyday.
Mummy is sat here crying today,its not going to be a good day for mummy, this happens sometimes when i cannot cope and cannot hide how sad and desperate i am to not have you here with us.
Mummy,Jack and Lucy are going down to see Nanny and Grandad next week, you should be going too to meet your cousins and auntie's and uncles but instead we all have to visit you at the cemetry.
I hate my life sometimes princess,why did God take you away from me,what did i do to deserve it?Im not a bad person.Im a good mummy.
Im so upset and getting anxious already that i won't be able to come and visit you whilst im at Nanny's, i know Auntie Chelle will go up and i hope Daddy will too now that he's not going away with The Marines.
Please know that you will always be my special girl and my lovely little Angel in Heaven x

Hello sweet baby, you did good the other day! You certainly got those angels on the case didn't you?
Fearne's operation went really well and it looks as though her new line is good, all the signs are good anyway. Thankyou baby.
We Have thought of you so much whilst we were away at Bristol hospital, seeing all those poorly children and babies just makes us so much more aware of you and miss you so much. The trouble is, we didn't know you were poorly in Mummy's tummy, if only we did and if only we could all have done something about it. You know that we all would have done anything and still would to have been able to make you better, we love you so much sweetheart.
Your Mummy and Jack and Lucy will be here next week whilst your Daddy is away, we shall have such fun with your brother and sister but we shall be thinking of you all the time little one, be sure of that. Take care sweet heart and thank those lovely angels for their hard work won't you. Ask them to look after your Mummy as we all care for her so much.
